The Southwest Indiana Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) is committed to building a stronger, more resilient community in Gibson, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh, and Warrick Counties. 1. Join Our Mailing List
Stay informed about SWICOAD activities, upcoming meetings, and important disaster-related information by joining our mailing list. As an individual contact, you'll receive:
Invitations to COAD meetings, educational events and workshops
Timely alerts during disaster situations
Regular updates on COAD initiatives
To join our mailing list and receive invitations to COAD events, complete the Contact Information Entry Form. In addition to email updates, you'll receive a calendar invitation to quarterly COAD meetings (held virtually unless otherwise noted) from swicoad@gmail.com.
2. Become a Member Organization
If you represent a voluntary organization, community organization, private or public entity, faith-based group, or local business, consider having your organization become a Member Organization of the Southwest Indiana COAD. There is no cost (other than your time) to participate in the Southwest Indiana COAD. Member Organizations enjoy:
A voice in COAD decision-making processes
Access to shared resources and best practices
Representation on COAD committees and working groups
Opportunities to collaborate with other organizations during disasters
Enhanced visibility for your organization's disaster-related efforts
To become a Member Organization:
Review our Membership Information,
Complete the membership application form,
Attend a Southwest Indiana COAD meeting to present your organization, and
Upon approval by majority vote, your organization will be welcomed as a member.
Note: Each Member Organization maintains its own identity and independence while collaborating with others during emergencies.
Whether you're an individual looking to stay informed and/or represent an organization ready to join our collaborative network, your involvement makes a difference. Individuals can attend COAD meetings as a guest or as a representative of a Member Organization.

Organizations: Complete our membership application to start the process of becoming a Member Organization. Individuals should complete the Contact Information Entry Form first, followed by the membership application.
